The Sisters of St. Louis in LGHS
The Sisters of St. Louis have a long and rich tradition in the ministry of Catholic Education in Europe, North America, Brazil, and West Africa extending over a period of 155 years.
In Nigeria, many of our St. Louis Secondary Schools were taken over in the 70s by the Government. However we do not want our legacy of education to die out. Hence the resolve to begin Louisville, Itele. |

| All Sisters of St. Louis, wherever they are involved in education, are imbued with the vision of our founder, Abeé Louis Bautain, “of a world healed, unified and transformed by the saving wisdom of Christianity”. (Constitution of the Sisters of St. Louis 1.5) “We treasure the vision of faith and
the rich tradition entrusted to us and we bring these to bear on our present and future, by wise discernment of God’s will” (Ibid. 1.5). |
